For the third time this year the E.ON managers met in the lecture hall at E.ON Platz 1 in Düsseldorf to listen to the Demo Day-Pitch and discuss the innovative ideas of the startups. The ideas all with energy focus reached from virtual power banks, to smart logarithms for grid control up to concepts for sustainable cities such as digitization of the parking and pollution absorbing moss walls.
"For our startups the Demo Day Pitch is the highlight at the end of the three-month accelerator phase, " says Thorsten Marquardt, Managing Director :agile accelerator. After the founders were supported by coaches, with know-how, seed capital and a broad network of partners, it is now a matter of securing the follow-up funding within the group. All teams are highly motivated to present their business model to the Executives and win them as investors to be able to go to market faster than the competitors. “We are proud that 80% of the ideas we receive are sent by E.ON employees.
Ten founder teams presented their projects. Seven startups have their roots in the E.ON group and three startups came from external.
