:agile EcoCities Hackathon @ EUREF BERLIN

Our first Hackathon @ EUREF-Campus Berlin!

21. June 2016 Berlin - EUREF Campus

It was time to hack with us, again! From 3rd-4th June we invited you to our first Hackathon at Euref Campus in Berlin. We welcomed roughly 60 zealous participants to our event who worked in eight teams on various topics related to EcoCities.

As usual, there were three prices to be won in the categories “most innovative”, “best overall” and “best pitch” and two special prices. The jury chose “EasyDC” for the most innovative idea while the team “PCC” won the category best overall. The team PCC tackled the problem of too little charging stations for e-cars in Germany. The concept is to create a community of private charging station owners who offer their charging station for individual prices to the EV community. The best and most entertaining pitch was brought to us by Georg Papa and his project “Made of X”.

The two special prices for this Hackathon were in the categories “EcoCities” and “Customer Focus”. The first 1000€ special price in the category “EcoCities” was won by “Green Mile”. Green Mile wants to ban dirty and loud diesel trucks from the city while offering an open platform for electronic trucks which cover “the last inner city mile”. The second special price, category “Customer Focus”, was won by the team “Leco”. The team describes their idea as the “Snapchat meets Tinder for Sharing”. They provide the easiest way of sharing resources and participating in a social neighborhood.

We are very happy to announce that Finja and the project PCC already kicked-off in our three month accelerator program. Within the next weeks we will decide together with the other teams if we will support them in our three month accelerator as well. We will keep you updated.

Thanks to everyone who made this event special! We are looking forward to the next :agile Hackathon which will take place 2nd-3rd September in Berlin!
