At warm Thursday afternoon of July 19th over 150 guests gathered at #Entech Demo:Day. Celebrating innovation in the energy sector, they have listened to 10 pitches from all over Europe.
Demo:Day is the final event of :agile accelerator three-months program. It seeks to showcase the most innovative ideas, praise the achievements of the startups and introduce them to the stakeholders from and outside of E.ON.
“#Entech Demo:Day was great for us to present our case to a wider audience within E.ON,” says Fabian Lemke, Co-founder and Managing Director of Nuventura GmbH. “We also got some valuable external contacts during the party afterwards. It's great to have a somewhat more informal way of mingling and discussing with stakeholders at the event so that we can get to know the persons behind E.ON.”
Although it has not been the first, not even the tenth :agile accelerator Demo:Day, it was unique. Not only five startups of :agile accelerator were pitching on the stage, but also five startups from our partner accelerators: KIC InnoEnergy, DigiHub Düsseldorf and Digitaler Hub Bonn.
“We want to accelerate the future of energy and build a better tomorrow,” says Inga Land, the Managing Director of :agile. “We’ve opened our #Entech Demo:Day to other energy accelerator programs, because we believe that we can reach tese goals only when we work together.”
The Demo:Day connected partners, startups and VCs. Luis Sperr, Business Creation Manager at KIC InnoEnergy confirms: "This #Entech Demo:Day in Düsseldorf was just great. Using this unique platform our portfolio start-ups vilisto and Betterspace were able to define concrete customer projects as well as to get in touch with VCs for upcoming financing rounds. Together with the E.ON :agile team we managed to build a holistic value-adding ecosystem for bright people with great ideas in the energy sector.”
