:agile – basic facts

Founded in 2013 as accelerator program to promote innovative projects within E.ON, :agile has since expanded its perspective to include energy-related startups addressing the European market.

The three-month accelerator program provides funding, extensive training, mentoring, and office space to early-stage startups. The accelerator phase culminates in Demo Day, where participating startups present their ideas and get the chance to continue in a 12- 18-month incubation or piloting phase.

E.ON :agile is eager to build long-term relationships and offer startups the opportunity to test and validate their service or product with real customers in the real energy world.

Even when ways depart :agile maintains an active alumni network and supports all startups in finding new investors. As E.ON accelerator, :agile focuses on projects in line with E.ON’s overall strategy of promoting sustainable energy innovation. Neither E.ON nor :agile ask for equity or shares in participating startups during the accelerator phase.
